Medicare Guidance in Northeast Ohio
Local help understanding Medicare, comparing your options, and making a decision that fits you.
Medicare comes with a lot of choices, and most people encounter them at a time when something else is changing too. You may be turning 65, preparing to retire, leaving an employer health plan, or simply wondering whether the Medicare coverage you already have is still the right fit.
Insurance Navigators helps people throughout Warren, Youngstown, Boardman, and Northeast Ohio understand Medicare before making those decisions.
We start with education, not a plan recommendation. We'll help you understand how Medicare works, learn what's important to you, and then compare the options available based on your doctors, prescriptions, budget, and coverage needs.

New to Medicare?
Start with understanding the basics.
If you're approaching Medicare for the first time, you don't need to become a Medicare expert. But you should understand enough to make an informed decision.
We'll walk you through questions such as:
When should I enroll in Medicare?
Do I need Medicare Part B if I'm still working?
How does Medicare work with my employer coverage?
What's the difference between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage?
How does a Medicare Supplement work?
Do I need Part D prescription drug coverage?
Will my doctors and hospitals accept the coverage I'm considering?
How will my prescriptions be covered?
Once the basics make sense, we can begin looking at the choices that fit your particular situation.

Your Medicare options aren't one-size-fits-all
A plan that works well for your neighbor, spouse or friend isn't necessarily the best choice for you.
When we help compare Medicare plan options, we look beyond the premium. Your physicians, preferred hospitals, prescriptions, travel habits, budget and comfort with potential out-of-pocket costs can all affect which type of coverage makes sense.
Depending on your situation, that conversation may include Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare Supplement insurance and Medicare Part D prescription drug plans.
Our job is not to decide for you. It's to help you understand the differences so you can make a confident decision.
Already on Medicare?
Your needs and your coverage can change.
Choosing Medicare coverage isn't necessarily a one-time decision.
Plans can change. Prescription formularies and provider networks can change. Your medications, doctors, health and financial priorities can change too.
That's why we're available to our clients after enrollment and encourage them to review their coverage when appropriate.
If something changes during the year or you receive a notice you don't understand, you have a local office you can call.
And if you already have Medicare coverage but aren't an Insurance Navigators client, we're happy to provide a second opinion and help you determine whether your current coverage still fits your needs.

Insurance Navigators has helped educate and enroll more than 1,500 people into Medicare plans throughout the Mahoning Valley.
But enrollment isn't where we think the relationship should end.
Our team is here when you have questions about your coverage, when something changes, when another enrollment period arrives, or when Medicare simply sends you something that doesn't make sense.
We're based in Warren and work with Medicare clients throughout Trumbull and Mahoning Counties and the surrounding Northeast Ohio communities, with appointments also available in Boardman.
